So i finally got to play it last week and was very disappointed.
If u loved the previous gameplay style 4get bout this one.
I used to love the old ones where u had to nicely sneak around and patiently take out enemies.
Sure this time around he is not on either side and is in revenge mode but they have made it unsatisfying for the fans of the older games.
Its like Assassin's creed meets Uncharted meets Saboteur (with all that black and white while hidden gameplay)
I will still complete the game just ffs to finish the story however.
Plus this was the first Splinter cell i played on a console so i didnt like the controls either, i miss how refined the controls were in UC and GTA, this feels like shit.
Drop ur opinions if u have played it as well.

Damn! I've been waiting to play this on PC. Your right the older titles were just each great titles in it's own rights. The stealth elements in the first game and Chaos Theory were just amazing, in fact I can still return to Chaos Theory and gladly replay it again... sad to know that Conviction is a let down. :(

^^^ its already out for pc, u know where.
size is 7.73GB
till now the only level that reqd a bit of stealt is in the starting of the level where Fisher infiltrates 3rd Eschelon.

Well its not officially out for the pc. This time around the guys at ubisoft wanted to appeal to a much larger audience (The call of duty fans) since gaming is all about sales, So they dumbed down the stealth elements and paved way for a more run and gun thats what you see today. Splinter cell as you knew it before is dead.

when i first saw the intial video, techdemo n interview i was very much interested..its seems its another victim of console-friendly gaming.

well i hope theres a crack soon, and i dont believe its so bad, i've always loved fisher and i dont believe ubi can fcuk it up too :| (an example is recent game, AC2 is way way way way better than AC1)

what i have read is that stealth is not completely removed.

stealth or zero kill is still possible but you have to be very fast.in conviction the speed has increased.

there are some videos in you tube where some people have completed a level without any kills.

Tread the boards carefully! Go by the rules. Posting anything related to warez and cracks in the forums will call for a stricter thread watch by the mods!

I feel one who has pirated version of game should not be considered for any of his views on the game

I've played the game this game on Xbox 360 and it turned out to be pretty fine. I've played all the Splinter Cell games before this. So, I know what I'm talking about. I sometimes hated the fact that I had to shoot everyone in the room to move further but the game had its fun moments too.

Conviction isn't as bad as people say it is. In fact, I really liked the game. Stealth has been dumbed down alright but isn't it what people ask for in games? These days overtly stealthy games don't sell as well as they used to. It's a short game. I finished it in just 5 hours. All the Splinter Cell fans should give this game a shot. It's not very long and it isn't boring either. Don't miss out on this title just for the fact that it involves more shooting.

^dinjo's comment wasn't aimed at him! There were a few posts which were deleted by a moderator which were talking of cracks and related warez openly. Those posts were reported and the thread was cleaned. :)

There are better games than this coming up Red Dead Redemption and Alan Wake.

damn, i saw the video preview and have been waiting patiently for this game. but i wanted to play this game badly because of how good the previous game in the series were.

please don't disappoint me conviction!

Well no offence to the lovers of the Older games of the SC Series, Conviction no doubt has its set of flaws especially if you talk about the stealth system, but i feel if you compare the game as an individual title - you'll love it - The storyline combined with the stealth+action combo gameplay is simply one of the best engrossing games to come out this early in 2010, I am simply in love with it & the New Mark & Execute Makes gameplay & taking out multiple enemies at once into a terrific experience - my Rating 4/5

I've played all the splinter cells and loved every single one of them:) the new elements implemented in each games was excellent:)just dying for conviction.even test drive unlimited 2 is gonna be out soon right
