Which are the stores that offer the best deals?

I am looking for a 1.5T split. WIll choose between Samsung & LG. I prefer Samsung products and i'm quite sure i'll buy the Samsung.

If someone can suggest stores between Worli and Andheri..

Dude dig some post you will find similar thread.........

Bwt If i had to choose i would have gone for O -General per sure.....

If Samsung or LG definately it's LG for me :))))

^exactly,

General seems expensive upfront but its not in the long run.

Bw Samsung n Lg, its Samsung by long margin

General 1.5T split approx 41k.
whereas Samsung & LG are abt 25-30k.

On what basis would u justify the 11k extra on General? Does it consume much lesser power than other brands?

Yepp O'General consumes less power its BEE 5 Star rated AC... But its the compressor which is very heavy duty... Works on scorching heat without fail & makes very little noise compared to both LG & Samsung.... Its very robust so needs less maintenance....

Comparatively its a very good investment but costs more than others....

I'd put it this way - a OGeneral 1 ton window AC v/s a Samsung/LG/(any other brand except Hitachi) split.

I'd go for the former anyday. The only other brand comparable to General would be Hitachi.

am wondering howmuch exactly does the AC consume considering their star ratings, i recently saw some LG split AC, 1 ton and was told the power consumption is about 1.5 units per hour, is it? :S

and howmuch does a 1.5 or 2 ton AC consume for say ~1hr usage? considering i buy a 4 star or a 5 star thing? :P

well a 1.5ton ac with 4 to 5star should consume around 1.7 to 1.9units depending on the company.

2 days back I bought a Mitsubishi 1.5 ton split AC for 37.8k, it was a tough decision between this and the OGeneral and the Daikin, the one I bought was the cheapest from the Japanese lot of AC's - this consumes 8.2A of electricity. Its cooling is very good BUT the main reason we picked this one over all others is that it is very small - about 75% the size of the other makes. (the internal units size is 780x210x298) We are very pleased with this AC - we also have 2 OGeneral 1 ton window AC's.

I have the brochures of Mitsubishi OGeneral and LG if you want me to scan and put up the pages just HOLLER !! .... the LG's catalogue is a 30 page booklet !! so specify which LG AC's page you want me to scan. :)

A few days back the Compressor in one of my Windows 1 ton OGeneral AC's died a sudden death - after 2 years use :( The place I bought it from changed the compressor with a temporary one till my new replacement comes from Chennai. GREAT service from the shop !! This AC is in a room facing East so the AC does not get heat from the afternoon sun.

so about 2 units per hr according to my calculations, assuming you run the AC for 10 hrs a day and on average the AC is on for 15 mins in each hour, you will be running it for ~2.5-3hrs in a day its about 6 units per day, almost as much as my PC consumes in a day i think hehe

Finally bought the Hitachi Ace 1.2T split from Vijay Sales for 28k without exchange. Thought it was a super deal.
