hello guys .. any idea of seagate providing free data recovery for bricked hardisks ?
hardisk got bricked in dec 08 got 5 years of warranty on it so still waiting :((

called up a few data recovery services including stellar .. stellar vashi said minimum of 10k :((

any idea of how to recover data from bricked hardisk plsss plsss pm me ...

500 gb of full rare trance music .. :(
 
Instead of paying 10k for data recovery , Just pay 50% to me .Will give you all the 500GB of Trance you had ;). I am sure I atleast have 60-70% of stuff you are looking for in my humble ~300 GB collection :D .

PS : Location : Navi Mumbai ? Your welcome to come to my place and copy whatever Trance I have .
 
thanks ric replied you .. hope your trick works out .. dude i got 400 gb of trance now .. but that hardisk contains rare trance gigs of various djs downloaded from europeans hubs :((
 
Please backup on a 2nd portable hard disk in future. Once a hard disk has failed, chances of recovery are almost nil. Only companies pay exhorbitant amounts to recover data in the event that critical process/operational information was on the disk.

I once re-wrote an entire program for robotic control (containing several hundred lines of code) in my company because they could not modify the source. The hard disk it was on had crashed and no one had taken a backup.

The rare stuff might be very difficult to get again. Hopefully, as other folks have offered to help, you might recover some portion of your collection.
