Laptops stolen Laptops Mac id

i need the mac id of my stolen latptop (bought just 1 month ago )
complaint was given to police and a close connection in Cyber police just wants my MAc id (there may b a possibility of tracking it down after he sells it and the user uses it ) ,
now what i want is to get the mac id - router logs dont have the laptops mac id as it was disconnected 2 days ago ,
although my desktop and laptop had frequent data sharing in homegroup , any chance windows has a log of shared data with other computers in homegroup ? so i cant find out the mac id ..
any other ideas also highly appreciated

Well, TBH, whoever is telling you that, it is not going to work.

If you can see the ARP cache - you could get the MAC ID. Please google for the instructions.

For many devices the box would have the mac id, if not then either on manual or warranty card.

^ contacted dell , raised a stolen system report ..
they gave the mac id
