PC Peripherals Strange Problem with my Desktop PC. Please help

Hello All,

I am an issue with my Desktop PC.
The configurations is too old. AMD Sempron 2400 with ASUS Motherboard and 512 MB RAM.

The issue that is I am facing is that whenever I switch it on it takes a delay of 4-5 minutes and then get a BEEP from mother board and then the PC starts. In between The Monitor is Blank and the CPU LEDs are on and flashing.

On loading of Windows when I work for 5 to ten minutes the system suddenly gets rebooted automatically and again I have to wait for it to start.
The hardware guy tells me that the Motherboard is faulty.. But I suspect there is something to do with the RAM or Power Supply.
Could anyone suggest me how to procede with this.

try troubleshoting one thing at a time until u find the culprit. There's no other special technique to go about it unless u have some special monitoring tools which is of course some electronic stuff which i don't know .

check with your friends RAM first and then with his PSU and report back. IMO must be a RAM problem. Anyway first reset CMOS in your mobo and check. I hope that you know how to do it.
