PC Peripherals Stuff from US

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm also looking @ audio technica's A700 and A900.

regards the memory I'll take another peek. Thing is choice is limited in the 1066 MHz segment...
 
This may sound like a silly question, but since I live in the US, things are a little different for me.

Do you guys buy stuff from the US because it is cheaper, or because you can't order these items in India.

Does it cost more money when you ship these things from the US, than to buy similar products there, and is it worth it for you to spend extra to get these items shipped?
 
they are usually cheaper , sometimes even when they are shipped including the shipping than the price you find it here for. many of the things are not found here.

we buy stuff from the US because it is cheaper :)

we do not get it shipped to India :D

we tell our relatives or friends who live in USA to bring the stuff with them when they visit India to meet their family :P
 
For me its both. Its lot cheaper to get it from US and most of the things I buy are not available here anyways. If things are available here for around 20-30% more then I would prefer buying locally. Otherwise it makes sense to get it from outside.

Comp parts I would buy here would be - HDD, Cabinet, monitors

Things I would buy locally if shipping is difficult - Mobo, CPU, value ram, PSU

Would any of you guys be into filling out a short questionare (later... if I put one together) in relation to these kinds of questions... like what products you ship, what manufacturers.. and what reasons.... etc...

It would be really helpful for me :)
