Wanna buy a digicam... please sugest

Reqd.

1. Mostly reqd for outdoor pics, but will use indoors also and later may try out scenic pics, hence more manual control the better.

2. Mostly a cannon fan, but ready to try other good brands also

3. Atleast 5 MP and 4x Optizoom. SD Card slot.

4. Max budget 15k. But looking for a range of 10 - 12 k

Thinking about cannon A530 what say.....?????

im using it currently ....

So far since ~1 yr..its been gr8..it costed me ~16K without bill in grey market in Bangalore..last week..had been there for some other stuff...i was quoted 11K for the same...;)

fits into your bill..;)

^altough u shd know more the optical zoom...the stablility of the hand & motion of the target matters a lot..i try to avoid as much of zooming as possible...of better off with a tripod...:p

which is the cheapest cannon model with image stabilization.....

also the difference between S2 IS and S3 IS is 5 MP and 6 MP rite or any more major difference.....

how are the CANON IXUS series...... i like the cannon powershot series, so compare to them, how does the IXUS series fare..... any disadvantage.... or benefits....????

help me out since i am a noob here......
