I need 1.5 ton inverter, I already own a sharp 18mv inverter , would have bought another of the same model but its no longer available & according to some posts here the newer sharp models are not as good .

I was interested in panasonic , how is panasonic's build quality & after sales service in delhi ?

Many other brands have launched their inverter models this year , any suggestions from any other brand ? My budget is 42-45k .

For you Budget , i feel Panasonic inverter will be suitable. Panasonic makes some very good AC's. You can also check "Carrier" inverter range. MHI, though good , it will be way above your budget. It is really disappointing that Sharp's quality and after sales service has taken a nosedive.

panasonic are more pathetic.. build quality is worst inside. within 2 weeks u will need to start repairs.

sharp quality is degreaded due to indian manufacturing plant ..blame the indians

after sales service is good.

I just called gupta from hyderabad .. regarding small problem..he cared me very gud..

Yes for home and closed room inverter can save some money. I would go for a good 3 or 5 Star regular AC if usage is not high. You save on initial costs too. I would also prefer a prefer a 100% copper unit. very few companies make them but if you can find nothing like it. Some companies claim copper but its usually only some part usually compressor / heat exchange outdoor unit is a mix of aluminium and copper. But some companies do have pure copper with coating.

I have decided to go for inverter only , now just have to decide the best model in my budget .
Ok if you have decided, then great you can go ahead with what you have planned. There are many brands available like General, Sharp, Panasonic, Daikin, etc. If brand is not an issue you can check out the new range of Vestar / Eltech brand of inverter ACs. I had seen it as I am also in to searching a new AC for my home but want a 2 T and for residence I was suggested by the seller either to go for 3-5 Star AC and skip inverter as I wont see any major benefits from inverter installation. He told me that inverter ACs will save money only if using continuously for long hours and if its a closed room then once the room is completely cooled, you can see savings for additional hours.

dont full in trap of prakash .. always buy sharp inverter ac only .. even if you use for 3 hours daily only

Sharp PHT, PMT models are booked by big corporate giants like google, microsoft in hyderabad .. and they are out of stock in whole india for next 2 weeks ..

Ok any reason to say i m laying a trap? and even in inverter why only sharp AC? There are many brands available? If you get the same kind of cooling and performance by paying X amount why pay Y amount for a product not to be beneficial in the long run? I think most forum members here are either not aware of the real power savings a Star rated or Inverter AC can achieve compared to a regular AC or are basically just suggesting what the shop keeper told them. I have analysed the entire thing many a times and can easily say that if your usage in less than 4 hours you might find a regular AC consuming less electricity than an inverter AC. Or provide real figures, because I have had all kinds of ACs in my house from non star rated to 5 Star and Inverter and can say this based on my personal experience.[DOUBLEPOST=1398956929][/DOUBLEPOST]
ROFL! Where do you guys get this info from? 'Big corporate giants' use VRF centralized systems.
Thats right. Big Corporates have centralized systems and not the regular split ACs that one sees in the market. Its a totally different market. Some model stock is less but its not due to corporate giants but due to month ending and new stock would arrive only early next week for some models.

I've seen icici bank ATM's using Voltas inverter ac's. It was electron or something. Didn't have any star rating on it but saw it consumed around 0.9KW on odu when it was on. Voltas is made by Godrej right?

Yes for most ATMs Inverters are preferred because they work 24/7 and hence if the ATM doors are air tight then major savings can be experienced.

so which models do u guys recomend as a 1.5 invertor, im looking @ carrier aswell, 100% copper the new 410 gas.. roughly aroundn the same budget 40/45k

need to buy 2 1.5 tons . and 1 / 1.1 or 1 ton

Yes carrier has its midea brand of inverter ACs around the 40-45k zone. Carrier branded are a bit costlier than Midea brand. I too have sharp inverter which is also good. But for another room I have gone in for Generals new brand Eltech / Vestar as I found their air flow quite good. I have been using general for over 5 years now without a single issue and the shop keeper told me that even these brands that the sell come with 100% copper and give almost the same performance, so you can definitely check that out. Main thing in inverter AC or for that matter any split ac is proper installation. Whichever brand you choose you need to get it installed correctly or issues occur. Finally I would suggest do take a look at Midea / Vestar / Eltech as they too have good airflow and the machine is also quite good. As you need to buy multiple ACs I think you can try different brands if available with same shop keeper.

Yes multi split ac is another good option, but if you get a good price. A few posts back one member did get a good deal on multi split, but you need to understand for multi split you need rooms to be close by (to reduce heat loss) and if the outdoor unit goes bad all ACs do down at once :)

multi split wont do.. have rooms far apart, ive got a few quotes for carrier, waiting for quotes from daikin / hitachi, mitsubishi tomorrow and will take a call.
