Suggest 1TB internal Hard disk??

Need to buy 1 Tera Byte HDD

I wanna buy new HDD 1 Tb.
Which one should I go for internal, external or portable? What are the current prices going on in Mumbai?
My budget is currently limited.

You could go for wd 1tb green for less than 4K if it's for data. external drives have failed more often than internal ones for me.

Seagate 1TB Sata Internal ST31000528AS (7200.12 - 2 Platter) 32MB Buffer - 4100/- --> Go for this if it is gonna be your main OS drive.

I am planning to buy 1Tb hard disk this week :hap2:. Which brand you will suggest? The purpose is for storage only. I will be using 160 GB Hitachi hard disk with it.(which is working fine)..

Which harrdisk will be more reliable: 640 Gb or 1TB? Thanks...

WD Green 1TB is your best bet. Avoid Seagates as they seem to have reduced warranty to three years. You may even look for Hitachi 1TB drives. These should be available for around Rs. 4000.

Get 1TB drives. No point getting 640GB ones.

What's the difference?
I'll be setting up my OSes on my 80 GB drive and use the 1TB for storage.

Also is the cheapest option avaiable for 4k?

why isnt wd green good for OS .... m going to be using only one hdd .....

green version of hdd are meant for power saving... they run at 5400rpm... so load time of OS and other programs will be high....
