suggest a 5.1 sound system

please suggest a good quality sound system within budget of 15 k.

i have main priority of high quality sound.

there are few options in market,

logitech z906 and philips Home theater systems but i am unable to decide which one to buy.

which system has best sound quality.

home theaters or standalone 5.1 speaker systems?

please guide

ALSO suggest between sony SA-MS5500,logitech z506 or any creative 5.1.

my basis requirement is watching hd movies and playing xbox games.

music is not the main priority ,sorround and 5.1 effect should be best.
 
Standalone 5.1 would give you flexibility in terms of choice in amp/receivers. Do you have any amp/receiver?

Integrated systems have bundled in everything. So in case you wish to upgrade in the future, you would have to replace the entire set-up.

Think about that.
 
Leoking, I know you have thought of this but think again about pushing your budget to 22-23K and get an Onkyo. You will keep it happily for much longer and thus overall it would turn out to be cheaper.

I tried using Logitech 5.1 but its just not the real deal.

IIRC Onkyo HTs do not come for that low a price.
