Not sure if i can put across the requirement correctly.

But here goes.

The phone should be able to log and display all calls separately/discretely- especially missed calls.

So if i miss 4-5 calls from one person, i don't want to see the name/number and the number of time missed next to that.

I want to see that name/number as 5 separate calls and the time next/below that. :ashamed:

Edit:Forgot to add this earlier-

Has to store and display as much as possible- shouldn't have the usual 20-30 nos limit..

I am using a 6230i now and it neith3er has this feature plus the 20 nos limit.

Can't state a particular budget as i do not know how much one with such a feature may cost.

Will prefer one that's the most inexpensive obviously.

I just receive a lot of calls, miss a lot more, make some, few text messages once in a while.

So music player, cam etc is not of much importance to me but good battery life surely is.

So please help me by suggesting something suitable if available. :)

Samsung ones register each call seperately along with even the duration of each call :)

Even low end sammy's have them. Check out the E1160-1.8k. Has a 1000mAh battery and has a back up of 4-5 days

For example if there are 3 missed calls then it will show the name and then 3 calls. Then you have to click on the details and it will show each call with time. It can store a maximum of previous 20 missed calls with time :)

Even the Samsung E1070-1.4k has this feature. It has no FM though and also has only a 1.38" screen and 800mAh battery compared to the 1.52" screen, inbuilt FM radio, stero speakers and 1000mAh battery and in-built MP3 ring tones of the E-1160.

Well i just tested this on my nokia 6220 classic and the CALL LOG- not the missed call list mind it. Showed the missed calls from same no. separately. I guess most nokia phones with symbian 60 v3 and after have this

Thank you everyone. :)

added this too now. :ashamed:

Best phone for this purpose is any symbian phone by nokia

it registers call log of past 30day,how many thousands call you make or how many thousand SMSs you send

it shows everybit of info of past 30day incoming and outgoing voice, video calls, messaging, data usage etc

Hi Bikey ... believe me any WinMo will do much better to store a call log and SMS without any limit than any other mobile OS

Not only that ... tons of apps available to get that call log backup, export to excel sheet etc etc

So what is the minimum price range i am staring at if i plan to get one of these WinMo phones with great battery life and good build quality+UI+usability. :P

Bikey. Check the phone logs with someone who owns a Symbian phone (even an old one like the 6600). I am sure it'll serve your needs.

The good thing about Symbian and WinMo is the availabilty of apps to achieve a purpose. There are also call recorders / auto responders / sms reply apps available on these platforms, and if you are adept in Python / C, you may as well write an app on your own.

I wrote a call recorder myself ;)

bikey go for any symbian phone from nokia... it has all the features of calling and u can use third party software as well...

Windows mobile, default is 30 days, you can edit registry and make it unlimited.

All calls can be sorted and saved/ exported as you desire to a PC.

There is a 2nd hand HP WinMo FS in the forum, go get one :P

I own a 6600 and it does not log calls separately and only logs 20 calls at a time. The details log is also not of much use.

Also no other symbian phone I have used has this feature (No idea about the new ones)

So your best bet is WinMo's. Their application support is awesome and you can easily install some third party call logging/recording software. :P

yeah ... I got gigabyte i128 ... 420MHz processor speed ... got it around 5.5k from ebay after using coupon

I am running it at 200MHz proccy speed to save power ... battery like is around 1 day with full talk

you should go the symbian way or winmo as you get lots of apps and tools to monitor and record and that too in lot of ways.

me using n70, 73 and n958 and they are flooded with many gr8 tools as if m using a pc ;)

totally possible ... i upgraded to un-official WinMo 6.1 ROM ... exact version is CE OS 5.2.20226 build 19214.1.0.4

this one let u select cpu profile for saving power ... some other apps r also out there for doing the same :hap2:

Yep, WinoMo, Symbian or Android. Basically a smartphone.

On the cheap, a WinMo phone is super flexible and gets the job done under 7k easily!
