CPU/Mobo suggest a dirt cheap download rig

i need the following components cpu, motherboard , ram , hdd..the purpose is only downloading and surfing...

just pick a cheap netbook (2nd hand preferred)... will use lower power than any desktop that can be put together & is still portable..Just in case.

PC buying advice - Only entire PC buying (WHich is not the case here)

PC Peripherals section - Other than CPU, Mobo, Storage and GPU.

So this kind of thread can be here IMO

cpu - AMD Sempron 145 - 1.5k

motherboard - Gigabyte GA-74GMT-S2 - 2.35k or GIGABYTE GA-MA78LMT-S2 - 2.55k

ram - 2GB DDR3 1333MHz - 1.15k (Deltapage says RAM prices are on the way up. So buy a 2GB soon from dealer's section)

hdd - 500GB Seagate HDD - 1.75k

This should make a decent rig for DL and browsing.

If Power consumption is of the top most priority then the Atom D425PT ~ 3k
