Suggest a download manager for me

Need a download manager, mainly for RS files. Stupid RSM is only available for vista. I did find the xp version, but it doesn't work for me.

I have IDM currently, but it doesn't let me set the number of simultaneous downloads.

Orbit, its awesome for simultaneous downloads, allocate equal download speed for all files.

Edit : Never tried w/ RS.

For RS, IDM is one of the best DM which does not report higher DL data than actual unlike Flashget. No. of simaltaneous DLs can be set in Scheduler.

Click on the scheduler icon to set the no of simulataneous downloads. As of no of parts it makes per download is settable in Options. The best part in IDM is the firefox pluggin. Just select 40 RS links and right click Download with IDM and schedule to ur pleasure

And ya most importantly few programs are notorious for passing on RS username/passwords. So be careful

I fully agree with you. Site grabber and import from text file is also beauty of IDM, which cant be ignored.

IDM is the best..No one can beat IDM when it comes to download from RS..

select all text on a page(inclusive of a gazzilion links and what not)

right click and say flashgot links. Instant parsing!

Go to Scheduler -> select Main download queue -> select files in the queue tab -> set the farking no of simultaneous downloads

And lemme know if you need the RS account. I bought one for a few things but its been lying idle since then.

And the Flashgot addon makes things more simpler for me now.

I fully agree with you but it gives higher data DL for RS as I already mentioned initially in this thread
