Laptops Suggest a Laptop in 20-28k

Hi TE.

Going to buy a laptop at the end of this month so need suggestion for buying laptop. Main purpose-Net surfing, DVDrip movies, good quality sound, MS Office work and very little gaming.

Prefer config

CPU-Dual core

Ram-?

14-15inch screen

HDD-320 at-least.

Budget is 28k but can stretch to 30k if these some special feature, like with windows 7 and any VGA Card like Nvidia or ATI.

MSI CR400x - dual core, 1gb ram, 160gb hdd, NVIDIA chipset, WEBCAM, BT, WIFI, CARD reader, etc., and 2 yrs warranty - <25k ...

Config similar to above with 14 screen

All prices from Mumbai, inclusive of all taxes, none have OS but all dealers willing to install for free.
 
Guys sorry for so long but those MSI GX400 and GX620 are old models and think are discontinued also, so please suggest some other MSI laptops something similar config like of Msi gx400 and gc620. its urgent
 
Guys looking for acer, msi or asus....suggestion please...

Again repeating config and budegt

dual core or core 2 duo (amd will also do)

3-4gb ram

320gb/500gb hdd

15 inch

should have nvidia or ati vga (no intel onboard vga)

budget- 28-30k can stretch to 32-33k
 
If AMDI will do then there are options. There were no intel options thats why didnt reply ur PM.

Really Thanks but have few querys

1. i saw people saying that this AMD Turion processes runs hotter even compare to intel and it got a mid -range vga so i am afraid on its max temp.

2. is ati 4570 512mb some where equals to 9600 or 9800gt?

3. This model got OEM linux and i won't be using linux ever..if i get this i will be using windows 7 home premium or ultimate 32bit.(hope this doesn't have any problem)

And ya ok never-mind you didn't replay to my PM because their was no option in intel but then you should have said this thing there also...you just vanish..

anyways thanks for that PDF file and please help me in clearing my querys.

I am not vanishing anywhere :P As there was nothing to reply i didnt. Its not a compulsion i should reply all PM's. If i wanted to ignore you i wouldn't have spent my time replying to your posts.

i) I am not sure which processor model this laptop is running and not much idea about the newer AMD processors that were released this year. Google for reviews. Try notebookreview/laptopmag.
ii) This is one of the better GPU's in the mid range market. Newer laptops dont come with 9600GT/9800GT. 9800GT were used in high end gaming machines and IINM HD4570< 9800GT. Also if you want better GPU then it will cost you 45k and upwards. This is the best GPU you can get below 44k. Also Acer build quality is slighlty inferior to dell, sony etc...
iii) There is no problems using Windows in this machine.

If you can slighlty increase your budget you can go for Dell Inspiron 15R

Price: 36.9k+Rs.900 shipping

Else try to find a Acer 5738G. Its EOL model with T-6600 C2D, HD4570 mGPU and similar specs to 5740 Core i-3 model with GPU.
Price was ~35-36k before 5740 replaced it. So if you are lucky you may find a good deal(33-34k) on it with dealers trying to sell out the finals few stocks remaining.
 
^^ ok will try to find Acer 5738G and what about MSI or Asus brands, is there any options within my budget?

and about that PM thing sir don't take it in wrong way...i don't have any -ve thought about you, you would have just said NO( just for my satisfaction). leave this topic.
