Needed for personal housing,

the shaft is built for minimum requirements, please suggest.

We've considered KONE, Schindler and a local one..

The specification of the lift shaft are not enough for automatic doors, can anyone suggest ?

The schindler company guy had a lift with automatic doors that would fit, but the cost is <7lacs:@

Else planning to go for KONE manual grill door and swing door combo.:( coming to 5lacs..

Help quick guys..:ashamed:

well KONE is good and reliable.... At my friends house KONE is installed.... will tell u total cost wid fitting by 2morrow.....

I know, but the problem is abt the automatic doors..NEED automatic doors in those min specifications..KONE doesnt hav automatic for that size of lift shaft..

wow!.....lift at home.....even with a lift in my building i prefer climbing up and down stairs unless ur house is 4+ stories or u own a building :S

however coming to the choice , go with the cheapest.......will do the job of taking u upstairs or downstairs......

suggestions for more sofisticated fully automation , Zero Calorie spend lift : eye reader which would read who is standing in front of the elevator if the elevator is not present it will trigger and call for it , then it will refer the storage data on a NAS somewhere in the house via WiFi and know which floor to go to. All you have to do is step in and out. j/k.

KONE and Johnson are the common ones I have heard about.. I think you missed Johnson.. Check them also.

OTIS - the company that invented teh lift! :P

Not sure if they have a package for the home though.

My building has OTIS , i guess...Schneider are also good.

Guys its not abt who's good, but want automatic doors, at reasonable cost..
Schindler had one such lift which would fit into that shaft, but its wayy too costly..
Yes i want it at nagpur.

Yet to check out Otis, wil hav to go to a nearby mall to get the number written in the lift:lol: But the architect has warned us abt their lifts..has had some bad experiences with them..

Yeah thats the way we're goin, but an automatic door is the one im searching for, apparently the shaft is made for 4person lift and none of them hav automatic doors. We were content until we found that schindler could manage automatic doors into it, so thought of searching harder..:(

I've always felt Otis lifts that are used in India are of the worst quality with absolutely no features and too slow.

If you've found a good Schindler lift with automatic doors, I suggest you go for it. The other option is not worth spending 5L for.

Implies they are overpriced in comparison to the competiton and they don't see a need to drop prices.

I reall a lift at a friend's place which was automatic and small, will note down next time i'm over. have a sneaking feeling it might be an Otis, did not look very nice.

But no accordion guard with excellent propensity to decapitate digits..aka funky elevators elsewhere.
