suggest a mobile within 20k

My brother has decided to buy a mobile within 20k and he's wondering which one to choose... I recommended him to buy the Nokia 5800.. Is my recommendation good..? or is there any other good phones out there which is better than 5800..? please suggest on this...

looking for big screen, music player with good sound output, good camera...

Before you decide, even though i own the phone and simply love it, i would recommend you have your friend try the phone in the shop before he decides. The CAM is nothing to brag about in the phone, but everything else is.
 
I would (infact i will soon) go for the 5800 too.. it's feature packed at this price point. Once they iron out the initial firmware bugs and issues, it will be rocking.
Apps and Themes support will soon be there too... it's just a matter of time.

To be fair to nokia, I think they have done pretty well to get a decent release firmware. We should not forget that s60v3 to s60v5 requires a major change internally and any major hardware/software change is prone to have bugs.

Considering that even the recently released s60v3 devices have bugs, inspite of s60v3 being matured, the initial hiccups with the s60v5 is pretty reasonable.

But you should be advised that the camera is not so great. It's so so and you can do with it. I will be upgrading from a 2Mpx non-autofocus camera phone(with a hella a lot of noise) and will not be an issue for me.
 
i was crazy for 5800 too since i wanted to upgrade from motorokr e6 touchscreen, but when i saw the demo wasnt too impressed....too bulky & very plastic looking....i liked all the features it had...anyways i settled for the n79 last week. and am happy...its pretty jampacked with features & compact too....again if u r keen on buying a touchscreen phone then it is 5800 ..total vfm.
 
5800XM is the phone to get but do keep in mind if ur brother is using a s60 phone already then he will not find any thing new except the touch.
 
n82 has software issues :rofl: now that's a news to me. and u can get used to that keypad. not as bad as it looks . Used n82 for 10 months and on each and every firmware it was rock solid unlike new devices like 5800 or n85 which are even bit buggy with their current firmwares..

check the changelog for ver 11 firmware for n79. Its the longest i have seen for a nokia phone.

n82 best n series till date ..
 
yogi7272 am with you regarding the N82. Loved the speed, camera - the best among the camphone till date, keypad didnt take long to get used to. Been using that phone for 5 months and now could not see any N-series that could beat that... However, am happily enjoying the audio and the sleek safari browser on my iPhone

n85 is also in a league of its own apart from build quality issues . I think the upcoming refresh of n85 with xenon flash will be truly a complete phone.
