My in laws need a DVD player and i am looking out for suggestions for the same. Need a no frills, simple to use and reasonably priced one.

Requirements:
1. Should play DVD-RW/CD-RW also in addition to normal -+R discs
2. USB port will be an added advantage.
3. Brand is not an issue but product should be reliable and good.
4. HDMI is NOT necessary.
5. Should have good Photo viewing capability (main reason to purchase is watching pics on TV).
6. Online availability with good discounts / offers ??
7. Price - cheaper the better (but no chinese knock off players please)

Last time when I went to choose a DvD player, I finally bought a Philips DvD Player after looking at all the models from Sony, LG etc....

Philips supports the maximum number of 3rd party formats and the image is also more vibrant compared to other brands.

I think it was an earlier version of Philips 3336 model. It was bought ~ 3.8K. I had purchased it for a friend of mine, I remember comparing it with LG and Sony players side by side and it was a lot better. I bought it from NEXT @ mumbai in March 2010.
