I disagree, a touchscreen is infact the way to go. A simple screen protector and you're set.

Been using my iPhone for 10 months now, no issues whatsoever considering it's a "touch screen" phone.

Stick to the HTC Touch if you're not up for the iPhone

well not really. i am using a htc p3400 n i am pretty happy with it.
initially i was pretty apprehensive, about it being a delicate darling n the fact whether the "touchscreen" might lose its sensitivity after use or exposure to water, but then after using it in the last four months i am more than happy with it.

Its been 8 months for me with a P3400 and its still running good!
