Need one for bucking the voltage down to 220v. Currently getting around 270 volts evening on wards due to industrial area. Saw the voltage in my ups info. Even the ups had trouble cutting down such high voltage and went on battery.
I had one very old stabilizer where i could manually increase the bucking voltage in the relay but seems those types of relays are not available anymore. I foolishly threw away that stabilizer years ago.
I have another non working stabilizer - it switches on but wont take any load. I can see the voltage at output but appliance connected to it wont power up. I am past repairing it because I can't see small things with my eyes now. It is quite heavy too. Around 3-5kg's. So..currently looking for a new stabilizer.
I will only be connecting my laptop, tv and assorted pc devices like external hdd (occasionally), phone adapters to it. So not more that 200W load at any time.
I saw this Vguard stabilizer for tv's, gaming devices, etc (2.25A capacity) and 46v bucking voltage. Probably the highest I saw till now in all listings. most do around 35v reduction at tops.
Is there something similar but cheaper? Ideally I would have liked something that would allow me to reduce voltage down from 290 to 220 volts. Something like rheostat type.
