I too am planning to purchase an Android tv box since Chromecast doesn't support Amazon Prime. I had one question though, is it possible to stream YouTube from your phone? I have an iPhone and don't possess any Android phones. I get a cast option in the YouTube app, is that present in the Android box too?
HP has introduced an Android box this CES ( 2018 ). I hope it will fall in sub 5k range when it comes to India. Maybe not, with an intel chipset under the hood.

You can install YT app in any android box. No need to stream or cast YT to it. All android boxes have the phone versio of Play Store installed on them, so you can install any game or app that can be installed on a phone on the android box. You only need to buy a wifi keyboard with touchpad, because trying to swipe away notifications with the mouse / remote is quite hard.

Thanks for replying. I quite like being able to view the videos on my iPhone/iPad and stream them on the tv. I find it quite easy to do so. Thanks for the heads up on the keyboard. Will keep that in mind.
