Suggest an 'Easy to use' nokia/sony mobile for my Dad

Suggest a mobile phone for my dad.
Main requirements are-
1. Very easy to use UI.
2. Either Nokia or Sony only.
3. FM Radio is required.
4. Good loud ringtones
5. recurrent alarm would be an additional advantage.
6. Large numbers on display.

Few more considerations-
7. Buttons should se protruding so they are easily recognizable and pressable.

nokia 3110 because your dad must be used to big button keypad as my dad is also using this cell and he can see the buttons without glasses too.

The Motorola MOTOYUVA W230 satisfies all your requirements but I am not sure if it has a usable, uncomplicated UI.

What may seem uncomplicated to me may not seem so for someone else. So take your father with you when you buy the phone and let him use the phones for a bit and ask for his opinion before purchase.

What is the maximum amount you are willing to spend..? Nokia 3110c comes at around 4.5K max, which is absolute VFM.

w200i would be a very good option in terms of UI and usage but i think it has quite small keys comparatively. Nothing beats sony in terms of basic UI friendliness , symbian is lot of hassle sometimes.

Go for it mate W200i is just perfect ...by the way what phone is he using right now...if its nokia think twice..

its some motorola cheap phone...W180 with radio

But the reasons i dont want him to use this phone

1. Its Motorola

2. Flat keypad...difficult to locate keys

3. complicated UI

I never liked the joystick of the W200i. I had just too many mishits in the time that I used my friends mobile.(Also the SE K750i which had a similar joystick had many problems regarding the joystick with many of them failing after a year of use).

Personally I feel that the Symbian S40 interface is better than the A200/A100 interface on the SE phones(But that may be because have used mostly Nokia phones).

My advice would be to go for Nokia 3110 Classic if you increase your budget since it has larger keypad and has a proper navigational D-pad and runs on S40.
