Please suggest me a reasonably priced MP3 player that can be used to listen to songs while going for morning jogs.

1. Priority is that that player should be light in weight
2. Radio will be an additional advantage.

Also, since am a jogger, following would be nice:

1. Attaching to TShirt/biceps.

I personally use: Sandisk Sansa m2400
Has MP3, FM, USB storage. Yup bought in US at Thanksgiving, something about $20.

get a nano ..its very very light and slim ..:) and alogn with that u can get a ipod nano wrist strap ...perfect for jogging and walks ..

but i pod nano aint reasonable ...its kind of overprices for the features and total storage it offers.

4gb-around 6.5k

8gb -around 7.9-8 k

if it fits in ur budget get it

or else something like Creative stone ..will be good too..there's a new creative stone ,read about it on TE.looks very kewl but dunno if its available in india.

PS : you can even connect you nano to some particular Nike running shoes..and all ..dunno how it works..but sounds pretty kewl..

again it's gonna be expensive..and not worth unless you have your pockets overflowing with cash :P.

Get a creative zen stone plus the key chain accessory for it . It's cheap, featherweight and has good battery life but doesn't have a screen on it. And as greenhorn said rightly don't use ep-630 earphones instead get sennheiser px-100's if your budget permits.

dont use the EP 630 when jogging- you wont hear if there is a honking bus right behind you :P
but you will hear every step, every heartbeat, every breath real loud

I personally use a nano 3g 4gb + ep630 for my daily walking. Some of my observations on the combo are

1. the click wheel and the interface make it difficult to operate it when in pocket (but the basic controlls like volume, skip, play/pause can be used when inside a pocket)

2. As i jog on the pavement, there is no danger of some one running over you unless he himself is comparible to a small car ;)

3. make sure you get a shoulder band. Otherwise the cable of the earplugs gets in your arm's swing arc potentially yanking out the plugs from your ears (those who experianced it will know how painfull it is when an IEM gets yanked from your ear with all the vacuum they create)
I tcan get quiet addictive to workout with something playing and I find it hard and extremely boring to walk without my DAP

With the ep-630 on there's a 'wooshing' sound everytime you move the cable and while jogging it can get quite irritating IMO.

^^^when you jog, other sounds like your steepa, other ppl will drown that sound...also, if the volume is high enough then too you won't notice it.

this whooshing sound is due to the cable. it happens with all in ear phones.

its called Microphonics.

@Kumar, in mumbai the pavement is the more dangerous place :P

nd keeping the volume high is never a good soln. you WILL end up damaging ur ears in the long run.

Get the shuffle 2 Gb its gr8 for the same purpose.. One must not carry heavy items while jogging :) So shuffle will do the job perfectly .. and has gr8 audio output as well. I have brought myself the same and assure you that you will be satisfied with it except the headphone.. it keeps of coming out from my left ear :@

mate, you need to buy a ep-630 or some in hear headphones..the stock apple ones arent that good .

@Kumar ..

did u get a arm band for u r 4gb Nano 3g ? cause even i am looking for one if you can find them in india for cheap.

no dude, i just keep it in the trouser pocket and route the cable from inside the t-shirt. But the issue is I only wear a t-shirt and the cable of the ep-630 is rubberised so while moving it sometimes tugs on the plugs.

egjjactly same !!:P

and yeah how big and convenient is the Nike sport bag which u bought from US ? does it fit the nano 3gb perfectly though its meant for the 2nd gen Nano. ?

for anyone else thinking of buying the nano..here's one drawback.

issue with the nano's interface is..that if all the tracks in one single album belongs to different artist..it creates multiple albums in the coverlow feature for same album.

like say 20 tracks in 1 album ..belonging to various artist's . now instead of creating 1 album in coverflow..it will create 20 albums in coverflow ,one with each artsit's name it's really irritating :@..and makes the coverflow feature useless..if apple fixes it in the next update it would be great cause i personally find browsing through coverflow very easy.

Actually, there is an option called "Compilation" in iTunes anf floola that you need to select (in itunes, from right-click on selections>get info>compilation). Then even if the artists are different, the songs are displayed in the same album.

Also, the bag is yet to reach me. Its presently with my sister...got it for 1$ :p

EDIT: In fact, 2 of them for a single $!!! One for my sis and one for me. But later it dawned on me that i should have got 6 or more 2 packs as the shipping was 5$...but then you were getting 2 bags for 6$!
