Suggest Battery Upgrade for Online UPS 6KVA

Galvanizer
Have been using Onfiniti 6KVA online UPS for work. IT came with 16 x 28AH battery (SMF). Its been like 3 years now , and 9 of them started to show degradation. Battery guy is suggesting to change all 16 nos with these options

1. 16 x 26AH SMF batteries ( 3 years warranty)
2. 16 x 40AH tubular Exide Batteries. (4 years warranty)

I looked into these and i think this 16 no is to calculate for 192V of UPS (noob here)

Is it possible to lower the number of batteries with 40AH ?

Can someone help me figuring which battery would be better ?

Yes, all vrla/smf/tubular these are 12vs so 16x12v and it depends on ur ups. What voltage it requires.

No way, u will have to get that much batteries to make up 192v.
U can also go for the LifePo4 battery also but do check prices.
@rsaeon can help you out and there are others also who tinker with these. One site he suggested is https://www.myinnovation.in/ they have readymade packs of these upto 72v as i know.
Other experienced users can chime in and help out.

I asked the battery guy the same , regarding lithium ion battery , he said , since its pretty new to market , he doesnt have much experience in it , which i felt was genuine response.

26ah smf was quoted for 54K
40ah tubular was quoted for 96K
with 500rs for each battery as buyback 8K
Exide EL + series (https://docs.exideindustries.com/pdf/industrial-batteries/Flooded-6EL-plus-Range.pdf) , they say in the footer that these battery should last from 8-10 years.
I am slightly inclined whether to get these , but then , i heard each battery might be 800-1000 rs extra than normal EL battery
