At least talk with an IQ of 100 dude. LOL
I am not saying that my setup is better than his setup. I am not saying that mine is the best.
I am just saying that some of the best speakers in the range of 10k like AE2, MA AV40 etc can easily beat the hell out of any Bose system. And that is a know fact. You can hear them personally if you want.
I have went to a Bose showroom and heard their IEMs and they couldn't compete with my Senn CX500 which I bought for much less.
Just because you don't know the facts, doesn't mean that everybody else should be left in an ignorant world.
1. Bose isn't too bad. It is okayish. But...
2. It is too expensive (for the price)

2) Try comparing the size of the A2 speaker to the companion, and let me know if any other speaker of that size of any other brand comes close !
3) Yes the in ears for bose are pretty sucky, and there are others which are better at lesser the price, THAT ALONE is a known fact !
4) 1/5 of about 18k is 3.6 k..Find me something half as good as the companion 3 for 3.6 k will you ?
5) WHen you buy a bose system, an engineer comes to your place, installs your system in accordance with how will you get the best out of it , and 3d real surround sound ! SHow me that kind of expertise and support in any other brand !
Last but not the least, if people can afford a luxury brand, and they enjoy the status associated with it, I dont see why would they go for something cheaper when they're completely satisfied. Moreover the thread starter mentioned a budget of 20 k ! SO I suggested something around the 20 k budget.

Anyways yes they are expensive and no the FACT is that not everyone can afford a bose, but by no means is it bad. On the contrary i feel they make amazing systems.
No bose fanboy here, but saying this by sheer experience. Own bose, onkyo and Paradigns now.
