i'm guessing since your contemplating between the 780 and the D2k, you must be looking for something with good bass.
I think the uDac2 will be perfect for your rig since it slightly warmer than the Audinst MX1.

ive used them myself.. if u dont want to bother with a amp.. they r really good all rounders .with awesome bass, cant be driven with ease of anything really. isolation is also better then the d2k.. where as the d2k are more comfy for longer sessions. the sound on these is the forward type.

I'd suggest you go for the IE8, if you're willing to dish out Rs. 5k more. They are so totally worth. You get them here in Delhi. Else, you can settle for the IE7, which are also pretty darn worth, but I'm not sure about their availability in Delhi.
Shure has a distributor here, the SE530 is their flagship but above you range, you can try the SE420 or the SE310.
You can go for any top-end in-ear brand like Shure, Sennheiser, Klipsch, Westone, Ultimate Ears etc, but what matters the most, is the signature sound you desire, which is subjective and the reviews wont say that.
The Sennheiser signature is beautifying the sound, its not how the music sounds in real life, its reproduced, for better enjoyment. I hated this concept but the IE8s totally gave me a new perception. Every song I listened to became my favorite song, no joking here.
The Shure signature sound is a more balanced one. Their prime strength are their midranges, which are unbelivable, and they owe for a more spiritual listening experience. Something you can just lay back and chill to.

I dont recommend an amp arrangement. Good quality IEMs give you an excellent music listening experience. Getting an amp, means you now power hungry can (open type), and from all the ones that I've tried (even the Sennheiser HD650), the bass is good, but when it come to deep bass, as in, real real deep bass (bass from low-tempo electronica, and, for example, the bass in Breathe by Pink Floyd), they dont make the cut.
I consider deep bass a very important aspect of my music listening, since it is something you can absorb and it gives you the shivers.

Considering you will be using you laptop's onboard sound card.....you 'HAVE TO' get a external usb DAC before you get headphones worth 15k. Otherwise your simply not doing justice to the hp's.
if ....you are interested in IEMs ....(and as you can sourse form UK also ) ....IE8 is available for aroun 150 pound at some authorised stores there.
but i id suggest you stick with cans... ....get the best DAC (thats available for 15K) and get M50 with it ...you can upgrade HP later....this way you get the best dac atleast.
BTW ...uDAC @4K and D2000 is a good combo ...D2000 is a very good can ...and will sell gor a good price if you want to upgrade 2-3 years later.

SRH840 is better than M50 unless you will be listening to very bass-heavy music like hip-hop and rap exclusively I think.. (from all the reading I've done at head-fi)
