Suggest DSLR under 30k

Hello guys i want to buy a DSLR , my budget is 30k. I have a Sony W150 at present.

I was thinking to buy Nikon D3100 its costing arnd 30k

What are the things i should look for before buying one?

Never used a DSLR before but recently i used my friends DSLR Sony DSLR -A230, took a couple of pics n i liked it. Pics are below , used manual focus in all pics.
