Suggest Gadgets / Items which can be bought from US

My brother might be coming in 3-4 months to india.

I have planned to get Nvidia 3080 from there (good selection ?) to build a new PC

similarly can someone suggest gadgets / items which are cheaper or exclusive or better there than here ?

Edit :

If possible please do add the cost saving by buying it there .. or whether that specific model/item/gadget is only available in U.S and not here in india.

Thanks in advance :D

Nintendo switch, next generation Console like PS5 and Xbox Series x (what a weird ass name).

My brother did ask me whether i wanted ps5.. will surely look into it.. Thanks a lot.

Motherboard (no india warranty)
Amd cpu
Wd ssd hdd
G.skill/ corsair ram

Thanks all these wont take much space and weight , i was also thinking about asking him to get these. If possible can you suggest a models(for the above list) for a 3080 GPU capable of VR in future ? and also cheaper in U.S than here.

thanks a lot guys. But please do keep it coming .

Was thinking in terms of DSLR.. planning to upgrade my old 500D Cannon
Stuck whether to get a mirrorless one or dslr.
People are getting rid of them now mate,
They are good yet bulky and prone to damage.

But then i am no specialist never used either tbh, suggested based on what my friends always asked me whenever my BIL was coming to India

LOL iphone, ipad, laptop, kindle, and those state named fridge magnets were the most sought after things

Phone have indeed caught up with DSLR`s , but bokeh effects and clarity can hardly be matched by phones. Although not a pro myself , during vacation the memories are captured much better imo. That too with a prime lens.. the photos become next level.

Will look into tablets as well, planning to get one for my mom , that samsung 10" tab.

3080 GPU is roughly 20K cheaper.. Will have to see the difference for other small components as well.

Don't go for a DSLR! It is good only for pros because of cheaper lens, bigger batteries and a rugged body. You should go for a mirrorless or a point and shoot. I have bought sony zv1 and I am loving it. It has far better image and video quality than iphone and Galaxy while costing half. You can also go for a less used camera. You can find sony zv1 or RX 100 mark 5A for very good prices. Other option is Sony A6100 6400 and 6600, stay away from A6000, 6300 and 6500 or even better is a sparingly used A73. A7c is already there and A74 is coming soon so you may find a good open box deal for a A73. If you are looking forward to buy only new cameras then I think US and Indian prices are quite close for sony so it is not worth loosing warranty.

Absolutely right. Vacations are better captured on a proper camera and not on small screen worthy mobile cams. I don't think phones are close to even point and shoots. The clarity difference is significant even in good conditions and is crazy high when the conditions are not good. Even a Galaxy s3 can produce decent results in 2020 when the conditions are right but dedicated cameras shine when lighting conditions go south.
Also have a look at IPad or IPAD pro. IPAD pro 12.9inch 128 GB Indian price - 90k. US price 969$ = 71500k

Nvidea Shield TV Pro 4K HDR streaming media player. Costs around $200 in US and if you buy it when there is discount you could get it around $150, It is crazily priced in India around 30K to 35K.

You are spot on.
since i have cannon and own 1xstock lens and 1xPrime lens , i was thinking of going cannon way itself. Had point and shoot before.. But after using DSLR , they dont come close to clarity imo.. dont know how much thye have improved , but will go dedicated dslr/mirrorless instead of point and shoot.
Cannon offering for mirrorless seem just a start.. Sony have taken the lead i guess. I am just looking for better compatibility for my exisiting lens with new mirrorless camera.

Thanks for your reply..

I already have Himedia Q5 Pro , but was planning to upgrade as well , do you know how Nvidia shield TV pro stacks against this ?

Thanks for your suggestion.

Game consoles, laptops. Especially with black friday coming up before your brother leaves the states.
Yes thats the plan.

will ask him to get ps5 if warranty is worldwide.

I always felt the build quality varies a lot from U.S/U.K version and Indian version.

Get Sony A6100 as body and build lens eco-system based on that. Personally, I find Sigma lenses to be most VFM for Sony APSC E-mount. If you are in to Prime lenses, their 16, 30 and 56mm f/1.4 are pure gems. otherwise, if can spend lot - look at Sony 16-55 F2.8. It's possibly best zoom lens on Sony E-mount system.

That must be some entry level point and shoot. RX 100 mark 5a, G7X MARK 2 and zv1 can easily match any APSC DSLR or mirrorless. RX 100 only lags in potrait bokeh and almost matches or exceeds dslr/mirrorless in a lot of aspects while costing nearly half in setup.
I think you should sell your DSLR and buy a sony A6100. It is one of the best apsc for stills and videos. Make sure to plan for lenses too. I didn't buy it because the difference in quality and features for my needs is not enough over zv1 to justify the extra cost.

Thanks both of you for your invaluable suggestions.I dont mind going into sony eco system , but since i already own two lenses , i want to stick to cannon or if there is any option to use those lenses .. thats why.

mirrorless is kind of attractive and many say the viewfinder makes a hell a lot of difference in how we shoot.

This would be kinda mix of valid and OT post. Since you have already have two lenses, it is wiser to stick to same platform. Stock lens is okay and good starting point for most guys. Prime lens are great to have though. But say if you can manage to raise funds barely enough for lenses of different eco-system, you can do it. I am consolidating lenses which I own, while keeping camera body same - A6000. I had bunch of manual lenses - I kept only Helios 58mm/F2 lens and sold all other lenses. I could recoup what I had spent on them. From those funds, I spent 2/3rd of it and got Sony 28-70mm lens which is kit lens of Sony FE cameras. I also sold my Sigma 30mm/F1.4 for a very good deal. Now I have almost enough funds for getting Sigma 16mm/F1.4. After I get it, I would have a wide prime lens, a portrait manual focus lens and a walk around zoom lens. This covers all focal length at which I generally shoot.

Do not go for regular PnS - they are dead now. But PnS like Sony RX100 are good. I am fan of mirrorless for cameras as they are very easy to carry and weight is comfy. Yes, viewfinder is great help in shooting - I upgraded from A5100 to A6000 for very this reason - again I raised nearly enough funds from A5100 to finance my purchase.

Selling the lenses would have pretty difficult from my place , unless i choose the online route.
anyway As for in cannon section only two are there Canon EOS RP and Canon M50 , one is preety damn good as from the review , another is somewhat entry level camera for mirrorless. dont know what to do.
