Graphic Cards Suggest GPU, 15k budget

Hello guys, I am on a look out for a good graphics card, max budget 15K, I dont mind getting it from KMD If I would be getting a better card ?

Between had few doubts, whats open GL ? Is there any major difference between DirectX 10 and DirectX 10.1 and difference between OpenGL 2.0 n OpenGL 3.0 etc ?

What would be a better option ? Going with a DirectX 10.1 OpenGL 3.0 GPU (I dont think any GTX 275 or 280 have it) or going with DirectX 10, OpenGL 2.0/2.1/3.0 GPU ?

Currently I have shortlisted Nvidia's GTX 275, GTX 280 n ATI's 4890, any better options are welcomed.

between 1 more query, have heard that Nvidia cards have PhysX Cuda support etc etc ? would it have any significant advantage for future games etc ? Sorry if my questions sound as stupid, but am not having knowledge about all this.

Processor - Intel Core i7 920 D0 stepping

Motherboard - Gigabyte X58 UD5.

RAM - OCZ Platinum 1600MHz 3x2GB

Monitor - LG Scarlet FULL HD LCD TV

I think 4890 is best.Its stock performance is similar to GTX 275 but it is a better overclocker and is also more future proof because of superior shader performance.
PhysX and CUDA support are unlikely to be a major factor.By the time these technologies are implemented widely ATI too is bound to have support for them.
Most companies won't use some technology in their games that is supported by only one vendor.
 
Many choices, i'd go with the HD 4890(XFX preferably) if i were you though.
Most of your other doubts can be googled/wikipedia-ed.

BTW, while you're at it, post the rest of the config. you've planned as well, if you haven't bought it already that is, and get a second opinion.
 
+1 for 4890

nvidia is just planning to launch DX 10.1 cards while ATI has been producing 10.1 cards for more than a year.

to be very honest, its GTX 275,
this is value for money card as per ur sys cofig and budget.
GTX 275 will giv u any day better performance than 4890
 
i dont think it will be good idea to invest so much in gpu at this point of time when another series is about to release:hap5::no: if hav the moolah to burn in time of recession .....go ahead :hap2:
 
can u hold ur money for 2 months(max) 5xxx cards are on their way. Even if release date in India is delayed(which i doubt) u can import it.:hap2:

Seeing the perfomace of HD 4770 it is worth the wait for 5xxx card
 
msi gtx 275 twin frozer oc version would be good ...14800 @ dealer section vfm i think :)
or else gtx275 zotac amp version .ftw ..beats gtx 280 nd 285 in sm cases ...though the margin by which it beats 285 is not big
