Graphic Cards Suggest me a GPU for under 7000/-

Hi.
My friend wants to start gaming on his rig:
Asus P5K + Q6600 + 4 GB 800MHz DDR2 on a 22" SP2208WFP

No can you please suggest me a card for him.
He wants my 4850HD but it is a bit over his budget.
So please suggest one you guys feel will let him play some new FPS decently.

^^He might be able to wait as his chipset is G31 so his machine is up and running atleast.

How is the 9600Gt?

or increase budget n get 9800GT @ 7.5K .

No other options ...........as ATI mid range cards are yet to be released .

All prices are now up. The 9800GT Palit is now 8.3k I believe which will prob push it out of ur friends budget.

The 9600GT will also shoot up, so its the only thing in ur budget. Grab one quick.
 
9800GT costs Rs.8.3k only! !

I thought it cost well over Rs.10k. I guess that must have been the 9800+ GT which used to retail for about Rs.11k

9600GT is the best card in your budget or tell ur friend to wait till the dollar price comes down. Otherwise grab one quick.
 
go ahead with the 4670 if you want a HTPC card.. tht however is not your purpose i presume.

the 9600gt for around 6.3-4k should be your best option. you can get a Zotac with its 5 years warranty from arambir.
