Get FSP SMPS Saga 350 Watts from lynx-india. Should be decent enough for your rig.

Hmmm that'll exceed my budget since it is for rs. 1650 +vat +shipping.

Still thx a lot for replying mate.

^ I would suggest you to increase your budget a bit. Its better to be safe than sorry.

To be true this one is for my friend and he said that he won't be able to spend a single penny above it.

good ones come at a good price, if he dont wanna spend a penny more then guess buy any local ones which costs around Rs.500/- for 450W

buy 3 nos. so that if one goes off, he has another 2 handy :P

vip/powersafe are within your range/your friend's range

Me too was thinking same but that is not available in Delhi(North India). I've pmed theitwares(rahul) and waiting for his reply. Also thinking that RMA will be difficult in that case.

Give the Zeb Pro 350 a shot. Looks pretty decent for an entry level rig, and should be under 1.5k.

Me too was about to buy that only but its distributor said it is out of stock and i also hunt for it in whole nehru place but all in vain. So thats y I started this thread to see other options. Anyways guys plz let me know how is Zebronics Platinum Micro 400W? Also keep on suggesting other options. :hap2:

How many HDDs and Optical drives is your friend having?
If he only has one HDD and one ODD with NO GPU, then even a 500-700rs. 400W SMPS from a brand like i-ball would also be enough for him.. :D

Yup he use only one hdd and one ODD and no gpu but want a bit good quality psu since that previous local psu went kaput. :)

Zebronics PSU are good enough, even the lowly models, costing 500 bucks. I used AMD 3600+, 2 RAM sticks, 1 HDD, 1 ODD, 8600 GT on the stock zebby PSU (400W) for more than 8 months, No problem watsoever. Its still powering the same rig, but without the GPU, and X2 4200+ as the CPU, since 1 year, without any problem !!!

Hmmmmmmmm, thx for ur reply mate. Any other option available.

I would not recommend anything else from the Zebronics line. Even the Platinum is just a flashy version of their generic L&C based unit.
