Hello,

This is the first car for the family. Me and my brother would use it.Should be easy to drive for first timers.
Budget is 6.5L max

Requirement: Really do not know anything on what to expect from a car, as this is the first one. Decent looks, Good mileage and Decent pick up.
Most of the time this will be used in city. Very rare long trips

Inclined towards Jazz/Figo . Please suggest us the best one

Thanks

Both are decent cars. Figo is obviously much cheaper but Jazz offers more space and a premium experience. Also Figo's petrol engine is not very good. So if you buy figo, go for the diesel option.

I'd suggest the Jazz. Also consider the i20, pretty decent car.

Almost all cars these days are reasonably easy to drive. Goto the showroom and check if you are comfortable with the driving position, the car has good all round visibility etc. Since you are a new driver, try to get rear cameras/sensors installed.

P.S. - I hope you are not planning to learn driving on a new car. Not an advisable thing to do.

Thank you. Most probably we get Jazz

We learned in a driving school and recently tried as well. Just need to get good with breaking. So hope it will not be a prob to the car as we might try learning for a week.

Yeah shouldn't be an issue. Just practice for some time on empty roads to get the hang of the car.

Jazz is a decent bet. i20 is good, but the A/C is lame. I have one and not at all happy with the A/C. The new generation of cars are really easy for new-comers. Am sure they had some old model car to teach you. You can 'pick' the car in first without any pressure on the accelerator. Just release the clutch slow --- and the car moves. Rest is easy. :) Handling is superb, but the breaks are sensitive, takes 2-3 goes to get used to it. As mentioned, try on empty roads and you shall be happy.

brio brio brio!

Why on earth would you suggest brio? Its just a hatchback not a premium hatchback.

Jazz is the best overall, considering quality, engine, service and features. The engine is the best in its class. Its bigger, more comfortable. The driver seats are amazing as usual. Brilliant service. Well built. The top and the mid variant have pretty much everything you would need. What else do you want?

All i20 does is attract customers with loads of goodies in an average car. That steering just lifeless. And everything in the car is just average if not below average.

Polo is only attractive due to VW badge and best interior quality. Rest is crap. VW has high service costs. Smaller network. And they have paranoid about getting anything done from outside in the car. You never know when or why they would just void your warranty. Mostly depends on the dealer. And the car is pretty much feature less when you get to compare it to the above 2 cars. The 3 pot engine is no fun at all.

Just go for Jazz.. You will love it..

I was in same confusion and after 5 months, booked the Jazz X...

Do a test drive and you will buy it..

Jazz X(Top End) costs 7.2L

Jazz Select Costs 6.6L

Jazz Costs 6.2L ON ROAD HYDERABAD..

I have Booked the Jazz X.. SO, Under your Budget, the Jazz Select is great..

Just check it..

The honda website is showing the below for Hyderabad.

Jazz : Rs. 567,000
Jazz Select Edition : Rs. 592,000
Jazz X : Rs. 624,000 (including standard kit)

For exact prices please contact our dealer.

Prices are applicable within the specified city limits only.

All prices are subject to change. HSCI reserves the right to modify the prices at its discretion at any point of time.

All prices are ex showroom.

But as per Teja92,, its 7.2L. Can some one clarify us on price? if anything more than 6.5 we need to check for something else.

^^ The prices he posted are on road, including taxes and everything.

Anyways the Base version is in your budget and IINM it comes with a decent kit including 2 airbags and ABS.

Still can't believe Jazz X has black interiors and maximum equipment. Makes the cabin look small :(

You should try and push your budget a bit and get Jazz Select.

Else get the base model and load it up with what you need.

I am also from Hyderabad and currently interested in buying Honda Jazz (base model). I will be going to Pride Honda tomorrow or so and find out more details.

@teja92, how bad is the waiting period? I hope it is quick. Thanks.
