OK guys, I am (finally) launching a forum.(Don't worry mods, it's NOT a technology forum. ) I have to select one of these hosts to host it.

Website Space | Unlimited Bandwidth & Domain Registration India | Web Hosting Service
Web hosting India, cheap web space, web hosting companies in india, affordable web hosting.
Web Hosting India, Website Designing, Reseller Web Hosting, Windows Hosting, Linux Hosting, Java Hosting, ASP .Net Hosting
Has anyone used one of them? How are they? Please share your personal experiences. I am personally leaning toward eWebGuru because they look sophisticated and professional. If you have some other suggestions, pour them in too! :cool2:

BTW, all these servers are in states. You know a hosting company that has servers in India? And where is our own TE hosted? :ashamed:

Thanks for reading folks,
Abhi.

This is my recommend list as I & few of my friends have at least 4 years experience with them

Ralvaluehosting.com

gohindi.com

hostcats.com

dinsol.in

Is there any particular reason why you are looking for Indian companies? The server will be hosted in US anyway and there are many good US based hosts.

For example?

See the problem is I don't have a paypal account, so I can't pay them. I find Indian hosts cheap as well.

There are a zillions of web hosts, how I choose one? Help me guys!

Try

DreamHost.com
HostGator.com

They are pretty good hosts. Also you can also pay them through Credit Card.

I would suggest you don't go with any Indian hosting company. Most of them are just resellers and your site would be hosted in the US anyway. Most hosts accept credit card payments, if you don't have one or can't get one you try using the netcard service provided by indian banks (kotak is one). As far as good hosts are concerned you would need to decide according to your requirements (traffic you expect, space you would need etc.) but don't go with hosts that oversell (offer unlimited bandwidth, unlimited space etc.) they will usually have limits on system usage (RAM, CPU etc.) you will definitely face problems like downtime etc.

I would suggest (from personal experience):

1. hostgator (cheap, reliable, oversells but I didn't face any issues)

2. downtownhost (expensive but pretty good)

3. steadfast.net (using it currently and they are very good)
