A: Slider if QWERTY.

A: No.

Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?

A: Touchscreen with QWERTY.However, I am open to Touchscreen only phones as well.

Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.

A: Camera quality should be good.MPs doesn't matter.Most pics will end up here or FB anyway.

Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).

A: Android

Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).

A: EDGE

Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?

A: Multimedia, gaming.Also I tinker with my PC and would like to do so to the phone as well.

Not much tinkering with android qwerty phones as most of them lack decent community support other then desire z. Among touch only phones you can check out lg optimus p500 and dell xcd35. Both are rom modder's delight. Unfortunately both have pretty bad camera. Another option you can consider is the original wildfire. Bad screen but otherwise ok camera then these 2 .

LG P500 or HTC Wildifre S are 2 good options..

Also the nokia E5 is great if u consider buying a Symbian phone.

if u can extend ur budget to 13k the se xperia mini pro is the best option

Say if I forget about getting geeky with phone and limit usage to Multimedia,gaming and apps then what else options should I consider?

Also, can anybody tell me from where in Mumbai-Thane I can buy phones at lower price?

HTC Wildifire S

HTC explorer

Which one should I buy?

More suggestions are welcome as well.

Actually I am using a junk motorola phone for past 4 years and can't really tell how I will use my new phone be I myself don't know.

Please help guys.
