Hello Friends,

I may need to Travel LOT between Mumbai - Gujrath - Rajasthan a lot in coming couple of years :( (I hate lot of travel)

Please suggest me Good GSM/CDMA service providers who offer GOOD VFM Roaming + Local Call Charges between above 3 states (Major Metros) :)

Some one suggest me to use Local SIM card when ever I'm in Particular state. In this situation I may requires to carry 3 sim cards with me. :S

Please suggest your best. :)

Thank

Hello MODS,

If you think this is not appropriate thread to get GOOD ANSWER, please move it under Mobile Phones thread.

Thanks :)

Airtel India Roam 399 plan may be good for you. Incoming and outgoing @1 rs. Local sim is always better if you plan to make heavy local calls but then you lose the number portability.

Reliance CDMA plans are the best imo. Check out their Joy 399 plan. Its 85 paise for everything as far as I remember. No point carrying local sims unless you receive a lot of incoming everyday for free. And then too ppl will be confused on which no. to call you when. And if you need mostly for outgoing most good postpaid plans will have 1 Re. or less outgoing even on roaming.

^^ Incoming may be Less but Out Going is much more as the place where I may need to visit is TOTALLY unknown to me and need to call frequently to Mumbai or Local for.

Hey m8, check out the TATA Indicom plan that I am using.

Rental is 125 per month. Additional top ups of :

150 bux so that first 750 mins of roaming incoming within India are free.

50 bux for 3000 national SMS free.

Local(within the circle you currently are, for me Blore with Delhi no.) landline calls at Re. 1 and mobile calls at 50 ps. each.

A great plan for some one who is constantly travelling IMO.

Oh and you can get a Rs. 100 topup more and get all STD calls at Re. 1

IMO, what you can do is get the no. from the place where you are gonna be calling the most. Then tell those guys to call you back from their landlines et al if it suits them.

Anyways in all it comes to about Rs. 470 for the rental alone. A bit expensive.

^^ Thanks Deepak, :)

But yaar no one going to call me from any one, but I requires to call them frequently.

At present I'm in Mumbai and paying Rs.49/- Top Up (monthly extra) & Vodafone charge me Rs.1/- per STD call.

But what makes me worried about heavy bill, i.e If I visit Rajasthan with current sim do my provider allow me to call any local number (land line, cdma, GSM) in Rajasthan for Rs.1/- per minute.?

Any Help by any Vodafone user or Insider?

Thanks

PS: In none than I have no option but to visit Vodafone Care Center. :(

most probably, with that top up you can.

When I was visiting Delhi my Airtel connection with Rs89 topup for STD calls at Re. 1. I was getting charged Re. 1 for every incoming and outgoing call (STD calls to Blore also), not sure of charges to landline numbers.

If local outgoing calls is what worries you, then get that tata postpaid connection for 125 and enjoy all local calls at local rates, no matter where you go in India.

Now the real pain is that with Rs.49/- top up STD charges are Rs.1 per minute any where in India from Mumbai, but local call to any one cost me Rs.2.40 per minutes :@

I will check with TATA today and will post accordingly. :)

Take Care

Thanks
