any idea how big a bomb might tht be

I remember a query here sometime back, a guy lost his n73me joystick, he said, it just fell off.. he took the phone to the nokia care center..they fixed another one and handed him a cool bill of 3500 bucks for the changed joystick and the repair charges... Now u can imagine if a joystick change can cost 3.5k, how much wud a display change cost...
My intention is not to scare you...afait, what u see as a crack on the screen cud be a crack on the outer protective glass tht covers the actual display..if its so, then it may not be a big problem...pray to god tht its not the crack on the actual display..
Another solution n frankly a sensible one...if its a hairline crack( i presume, its so since u said tht its only visible against a black screen) is to live with it... If the display is working fine..dont pay a dime...use it..then replace it when its time to get tht next happening gizmo in town...
