Hello evrybody,
i m really tight on budget....i want PC at below 20k for movies, music and mild gaming(CS and racing games). After going through various threads i hv decided on following:-

CPU E2140 2.5k
MOBO Biostar TP35D2-A7 4.5k
RAM Transcend 1GB DDR2 667MHz 0.8k
Mouse/KBD Logitech 0.7k
HDD Seagate 160GB SATA2 2.1k
Monitor CRT 4.5k
GPU cheap entry level(please suggest) 2.5k
Cabinet Zebronics Bijli 1k
SMPS Zebronics 400W 0.5k

I would also like to try out overclocking.

Any advice on scope of improvement are welcome.......also suggest a good ups....

man i would suggest u to gofor amd 780 chipset boards.

man their grafix performance is a sweet juice.

no need of discrete cheapo grafix card!

get a gigabyte 780 board. around 4500 in delhi.

match ram/processor to ur budget.and enjoy!!!

i am planning for going for good gfx card later and give this card to my bro...thats y i would not like onboard gfx....besides i hv heard biostar TP35D2-A7 is good overclocker.....

buy 8500GT, get a Abit IP35-E for 5.5k instead of Biostar TP35D2-A7 & get 2x1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM for 1.6-2.0k :)

you can do a hybrid crossfire with 780G. so you wont be at loss even if you buy a new gfx card.

Abit IP35-E have FSB of 1333/1066MHz but i think e2140 has FSB of 800MHz.
is it any problem.....

everything else would be the same, just select amd processor in your price range.
check main_trouble's post he says its around 4500 in delhi.

YouTube - AMD 780 Chipset - Like Never Before

watched this vedio on this chipset......can somebody tell me price of mobo based on this chipset?

please suggest me a config based on this mobo....budget 20k.....

The full R620 core for the 780G achieves frame rates of 27 fps under Crysis (1024x768), 43 fps under Call of Duty 4, 40 fps under Half-Life 2 and 35 fps under Doom 3

Most interesting.. Its more than just a chipset! Its a war!! If AMD benefits from it then we surely will in the long run.

Let us know of its performance with a review of your own rawat.nav, if you buy it of course. :hap2:

How good is this processor........Athlon X2 4850e
read somewhere that AMD lanched this along with 780g chipset...consumes only 45W as compared to amd x2 5600+ (89W) and amd x2 5200+(65W).
Is it available in India yet?

went to S.P. Road, today, got following prices....
AMD X2 5600+..........5200
Gigabyte GA-MA78M-S2H (780g chipset)......5300
are these price ok?

Bought gigabyte 780g and amd 5600 + 2GB 800MHz last saturday...........
thanks everybody for suggestion...........
this combo is real nice.:hap2: .....all the OS and drivers installation went without problem.......CD provided with this mobo also had Xpress recovery feature, which saves a backup of ur C drive onto same hdd, not visible to windows and can restore from that, so no problem of reformatting and reinstalling OS again and again:clap:

Onboard gfs also looks gr8, though i havent tested heavy games yet, i would defenetly recommend this to others looking for onboard gfx....
