Ranjit does not push one over the other, just emphasizes pros & cons. Thing is he has not finished his full review of the xperia m yet, so maybe better to wait until that is done.

xperia m, better battery life and faster than core but camera is not great & it has less space compared to core.

xperia m 1.5GB available space whereas core ~4GB. How many apps can you install in 1.5GB ?

So which parameter do you want to assign more weight here ? available space or processor speed.

Go to ranjits youtube channel, check his reviews (unboxing, camera(watch in HD or better), gaming & full review)for both core & xperia m. Give it a week or so longer, he should have completed his full review for the m by then.

Then go to a shop and play with both models and see the feel and response. Do not buy anything until you do this.

After that its your call. I can't say which is the better one for you though i'd prefer the better camera & more space.

Please compare the image quality here and see for yourself. The cpre has washed out pics in most cases while the xperia m has almost true to life colors. Also go down to a store and check the phones for yourself. That is the only way to be sure which is for you. :-) it takes some effort and time but it is worth it. Xperia M will have settings in the camera dept. Change a few of them and see the results. Galaxy core was one of the devices i had cnsidered but didnt purchase cause battery life and processor and camera was pathetic. Please do not take a review as final and binding as it it is just the opinion of one person. Instead go try the phones for yourself.

Agree with the camera, the m also does 720p video which the core does not.

washed out/saturated can be fixed, sharpness as far as i could see is the same.

Its down to available space - 1.5GB vs 4GB.

In your lumia 520 for sale thread you say you are going for an S3, in this thread the budget is halved.

Which is it ?

I don't know if i would call the core a good camera. Its an ok camera.

Lumia 720 has an excellent camera which you might get for less with coupons.

But since you are selling your 520, i take it you do not want WP8 anymore.

Galaxy s advance is not that good phone it used to be.. New jelly bean update phone make very laggy...
I would advice you to go with LG optimus l9 or used HTC one s(T-Mobile version )..
I have seen few one s to sell for 13k in my area olx...
 
and if you opt for new phone buy xperia m with eyes closed cuz core can't record or play 720p and s adance is old hardware and looks like 1st gen galaxy s and recently samsung has lost lot and lot of brand value most of my friends don't like most of samsung anymore becaue of it boring repetetive design and cheap plastic build quality, also you will get excellent resale value on xperia m
 
i have htc rezound with 4.2.2, htc trophy 16gb and lg ecape,lmk if you are interested in any of these
