Laptops Suggestion required for new Laptop

* What's your Budget? (e.g. >30K, not more than 50K etc.)

55k or less



* What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? (e.g. web surfing/office apps/Casual Gaming)

All of above excluding gaming

* What size and weight considerations do you have? (e.g. Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or you want an ultraportable 12" or something in between)

12" or lower, 4GB memory, Do not want metbooks/atom based solutions. Needs to have a dvd rw drive.



* Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell)

Would prefer Dell/HP, if any other worth mention then do mention it.



* Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.)

Battery Life would be the obvious necessity, however, if there are other options which can make up for it wth other features then do mention so

The lappy is required by my friend.

would be for business related work on the go.

Open to the option without OS or with Linux. (for cost cutting :) )
 
For a budget customer Vostro 1220(1.53kgs) makes the most sense :)

They are still not listed with the i-3 processors which i guess they will in a few days.
I guess u can customize it to 4GB RAM and that should be enuf for ur requirements
 
vostro 1320 -cheap not so light @ 2.3kgs but well built and its a dell -so u get their amazing service.

prices start @ 37k
