I need to buy a CDMA phone asap for my dad (he holds a reliance connection).

I don't have much idea about CDMA phones. Of the lot that I saw I liked the 3 mentioned below the best.
Samsung Max (Price 7200): Cool metallic finish but 1.3 mp camera
Samsung Duo (Price 8000): Dual sim, touch screen and 2 Mp camera but the touch screen and the dual sim's func have some issues.
Nokia 6275 (Price 9999): 2mp camera and the usual

Pls pls suggest what phone I should buy.

Budget is around 12-14K. Dad is not a gizmo freak but wants to have a camera and a cool phone:)

go for either nokia 6265(13k): slider or nokia 6275(9k): candy bar phone

I checked Univercell's site and the price of 6265 is down to 9300/-

But still I feel the samsung max is far better in looks compared to the nokia phones.

Any cooments:)

try to give a thought to CDMA moto Q, it holds WIndows Mobile 5, comes with office, adobe acrobat, youtube support, zip, rar file support. plays almost any file format with core video player. the internet is aweosme & one of the fastest on a mobile if you use Opera Mini 4.1 to surf the web.

you can add wi-fi or gPS to the phone by adding a wifi or gps nodule in place of the regular mini sd card.

the phone supposts upto 32GB of HDSD memory cards with easily available drivers.

It can be modded & made to look as good looking as the best in the business..

Price - i got mine for 12500 around 4 months back.

Samsung SLider phone has issues. Slider contacts get worn quickly. I suggest Spice D88n. It is cool & has GSM+CDMA - both can work together. So ur dad can have a Lifetime PrePaid GSM no also - only for family & friends :)
