Suggestions for a 3 days trip from Bangalore, budget 2.5k each

Suggest any place for a trip guys, I stay in Bangalore. We are a group of friends(~10) looking to have some fun, the max budget we can afford is 2.5k each. We usually don't spend unnecessarily, we just have the basic amenities. The main requirement is we should have fun, spend our time happily forgetting about the city.

And none of us drink/smoke nor think it's fun , so that's not a requisite .

Any suggestions? :)

Coorg sounds nice, any idea how we go about there, what and all we can experience there, we have very less experience with trips.

Any other suggestions guys?
 
^^ Direct buses from Bangalore to Coorg (Madikeri) available quite frequently. There is this Abbe falls, the monastery at Kushanagara, the Cauvery Nisargadhama, the elephant training camp and river rafting at Dubare elephant camp; and if you are so inclined, the temple at Talacauvery too. I would say, it is an excellent place to spend 2 to 3 days at the most; just confirm if this is the right season to visit there. There are plenty of homestay options available, which will work cheap on your wallets.
 
The professor pretty much said it all. We went there for a weekend trip. Really calm and beautiful place. AFAIK, you can go there now (regarding the season). Althogh we enjoyed the rain too when we visited back in October :)
 
Coming from kerala and been to all the above said places... i vote for coorg.

Way better than ooty also i say.
 
We've decided on a 4 day trip to Mysore and Coorg from 8th-11th April, any suggestions on what we can experience there and tips?
 
Its summer time....go to coastal places....Mangalore , udupi, Gokarn,Karwar,Murdeshwar and maybe Yaana/Jog...entire North Canara and South Canara is the place to be ..

Those places in Canara are far better after monsoons are over(around October) as compared to right now.
 
Sun and Sand goes together...i always like the beaches during summer more..Personally i prefer beaches over hill stations.
