suggestions for audio upgrade needed..

Get the RE 2 ? Well within your budget ? Low on bass but amazing on detail. Ive heard the S2, the bass is 9/10 , Soundstage - 7/10 and comfort 10/10. I prefer it over the RE 2 since I need pretty amazing bass. Also dont be very confused, any of those mentioned here will be quite an upgrade from the PL 11.
 
RE 2 needa atleast fiio !...does not it?
still ....i wont recommend re2 ...I stand on m2
 
If you want to enhance the bass on REW2 then yes, an E5 can help however if you're satisfied and want to focus more on the detailing part then a Fiio is NO No.

Ive wanted to hear the much talked about thing for some time now.
 
My final IEMs were shipped from US 45 days back and they are kinda lost in transit as I havent got it yet.Ive lost hopes almost but will be paying a visit to the Custom house and Foregin post office this week to check. It has no tracking so kinda helpless here .If its lost, I lose close to 9k :(.
 
Insurence ...? you will get them ....these customsnad post guys tke a lot of time to deliver
and can i also go to customs office for my s:flo2 ( i have tracking ID) ....will that help ...its now 1 month after they were reshipped
where is this office ....any info is welcome.
 
^ You need to find the Foreign Post Office where China parcels arrive in your city and pay them a visit.If you have a tracking ID it should be lot easier to track it in the office and they will give it to you if you have a photo ID with you :).

@ OP: hope u don't mind me posting a query here..

I've very old EP630s and looking to move on to something new (prefer IEM). Comfort is going to be prime deciding factor, then the SQ (cant really bother much w/o proper source). Source is mostly going to be E71, until i decide on some decent PMP.

Anyone compared an old EP630 to some of the new IEMs?

Would M2 still be the best VFM IEM to be recommended?

Or, would a M9 + E5 combo be a decent solution as well?

Well,

Mostly you will find Two type of iems ,analytical and musical .some people like moderate bass and some like heavy bass .Making a bassy iem is not big deal .But making a bassy iem + good mids and high is a big deal .this implies that the soundstage is good if all three frequencies Are detailed.In your example you have a bassy iem + ok type mids and useless highs .The Pl-11 from soundmagic is also like this but its bass is better .Then the nuforce is like the pl-11 with better mids and highs .The M2 is the best of the lot with excellent lows ,great mids and if not excellent good enough highs .the built quality of M2 cannot be achieved by any of these other iems i mentioned .If you have any other questions please shoot them
