Guide Suggestions for Ergonomic Chair.

Ah, thanks for the review! I think I'll go for a mesh based chair instead since I'm in a hot and humid place.

I have my eyes on the featherlite helix even though it's more expensive (27k)

If you observe carefully, you'll find they all have different names.

That's it really.

It's white labelling and I talked about it in one of the 50 ergonomic chair threads we have here on TE. Fetherlite is also one of the white labeler.
you sure about featherlite white labelling stuff? some of their models are pretty good but way overexpensive compared to Green Soul or even Wakefit

Sorry, but likely a stupid question. What is the difference between a gaming and an office chair? Just labelling?
Gaming chair is when you want to be uncomfortable and get rashes. It also comes with bucket seating, which gives you rounded shoulders. It's a good contraception.

Most parts of are office chairs are inter-compatible like PC components. You can google image/lens search the chair parts, and you'll get links to the real manufacturer of those parts.

Brands like Featherlite and Green Soul just gather parts and toss them in a box. Easy peasy! You get to play bob the builder at home. Honestly, you might sweat more putting together your chair than they did!

so quality will be more or less same between all brands?

I like the reclining that gaming chairs offer. I have a 55 screen on top of another 55 screen and need to look up often. Are you saying gaming chairs are an absolute no no?

Edit: I did a quick reading and yes office chair is the way to go. Any suggestions? Upto around 20K

go to a showroom, try different chairs and buy the one thats most comfortable, everyone has different preferences based on posture, body difference etc

I personally have this: Sihoo M57
https://www.amazon.in/Ergonomics-Computer-Adjustable-Headrests-Backrest/dp/B07GN4H96T?th=1
Pro: Superb comfort and build quality (chair is heavy)
Cons: You could sometimes wish the back tilt angle was more, headrest is just ok-ish

And this: Drogo Ergo
https://www.amazon.in/DROGO-Ergonomic-Computer-Breathable-Adjustable/dp/B0D5GR1RTL?th=1
Pros: Has leg rest, looks fancy
Cons: When you really lay back and put your weight in the backrest, the front wheels tend to lift up, so you need to be mindful. Headrest is ok-ish.

Both of them are mesh bottom chairs and you can sit for longer duration without heating your bottom. Though the second one is the more recent and a bit costly, I still prefer the comfort level of the Sihoo M57 and it has a superior built quality. I have also test the the cheap ones available for 7k to 10k and also the costlier ones with spine like back support. The cheaper ones squeaks and the costlier one wasn't great either.

Pair it up with a standing desk and enjoy!
are godrej chairs any good? Take this for eg:

Greta 2.0
Too costly for a basic chair. I had tried them in Godrej interiors shop, they are nothing special as such.
