PC Peripherals Suggestions for the new rig

Friends i want to set up a rig plz do help me regarding the same

motherboard + processor = 9k

Ram 2 gb

Cabinet + smps = 3.5k

GPU (mostly 4850)= 7k

Hard disk 500 Gb

Dvd writer

Hdmi cable 1.5 meters

DVI to Hdmi

my purpose is surfing ,playing movies and games on my 42" LG LCD.

prices that i have give are the limits upto which i can go

i want to limit pricing of rig to 30k.without LCD, Speakers.

plz suggest both AMD as well as INTEL config.

Mobo : Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H - 5.9k
Ram : 2gb Transcend DDR3 1333 - 2.4k / 2x2gb Transcend DDR3 1333 - 5k
HDD : Seagate 500GB 7200.12 - 2.3k
Cabinet : CM Elite 310 - 1.5k
SMPS : Gigabyte superb 460w - 2.2k / Corsair CX400 - 3.3k
DVD Writer : Samsung/LG DVD R/W- 1.1k
GPU : ATI 5770 - 11.5k ( DX 11 , futureproof)
Total - 30k / 31k

Don't compromise on ATI 5770 . Its DX 11 and is futureproof.

Take the 4gb DDR3 ram if u can extend ur budget to 34k.

Note : No intel rig can match this config at this price point.
Core 2 Duo,Quads are obsolete now.

+1 to this config. Better than the one we discussed Salil. :hap2: You can later on add the extra 2GB ram to make it 4Gb.

Add the extra 2gb DDr3 1333mhz later in 1 or 2months time.

Cm Elite 310 is for 2k btw and HD5770 for 11k....

slightly OT - tell me guys, why do we consider Gigabyte 785 boards at these prices when Biostar 785 and even some 790s are much cheaper?

Well its a DDR3 mobo and ur comparing prices of DDR2 board with DDR3 board.
DDR3 mobo prices is higher
