Video Suggestions invited for 50" Plasma....

need to buy a huge screen for setting up a home theatre to satisfy my urge for movies and watching sports...will be using HD content and tata sky for the setup....Please advice Samsung or LG 50 incher both retailing approx same.....
LG is offering more features but picture quality is the prime concern....
If anybody is using any of the products please share your views / review regarding the same....my personal inclination is towards samsung....please advice.
 
If available the LH 90 47" LED LCD is excellent VFM.

LCDs have evolved greatly and have also decreased in price.

A 50" plasma is a power hogger, expect upto 400W consumption.
 
^^ But how does LG fare in comparison to Samsung / Sony ???

Or is that the price is attractive and hence you suggesting ?? Btw what is the street price of this model LH90 47" ?

Its got some good reviews. I am not sure sure about the price, I think its around 90k.

I just brought the lg jazz 42" lcd. However, there was a 46" plasma LG for the same price. I guess LCD's are costlier. I am satisfied with the quality of the lg jazz lcd

Not sure about the plasmas though
 
there arent many samsun 50" plasma available currently afaik. they are puching lcd/led. the lg pq30/60/70 are good vfm buys with probably amongst the better performer when it comes to SD
 
+1 for the LG Jazz
Using jazz 42" since quite a long time now. No bad thing about the tc gr8 picture quality, lots of features and sound quality is simply amazing not found a match for it yet ! Really amazing buy and i bought it for like 60k mnths back must have gone def cheaper now !
