Suggestions required for ADBlocking Softwares
- Working in the background consuming less sys resources.
- Shud have a filter.
- Live update to block new ads.

Free Antivirus Softwares with
- Background scanning
- free updates regularly
- possibility to detect latest virus thrests and repair infected files.

Agreed with techhead ! Adblock extension for FF !

For free AV - AVG, Avast, AntiVir PE, U can give Bit defender a try too.

I personally use and am happy with SpybotS&D+AdAwara for anti spyware and AVG Free edition for antivirus.
