Suggestions required for a custom Chipset HSF

The ASUS Sli Dlx fan HSF fan is dying :cry:

Now now... Thats not the end of the world right... Whats TE for :cheers:...

Okey now... On to work... I need some sincere suggesstions for Custom made chipset HSF which is X1900XT compataible... The HSF on ASUS Sli Dlx was anyways puny for my tastes :P...

Pass me links/pics/anything related to the topic... Also remember i am not looking for something ghetto... And i wont mind passive cooling... Last but not the least i dont wanna spend the green :P

Just exactly what do you need ..!!! ??

and you wont need to spend the green ...you will have to let go of your stored up (and lying idle)orange / pink ones ....you know with a pic of mahatma Gandhi on it.

i think he ment that the chipset cooler shudnt obstruct the x1900xt....

@ switch,
what is the distance between the two holes for the chipset cooler on ur asus m/b ?
if possible in "mm"
 
I donno if you will like this suggestion but it worked wonders for me.I put a 120MM Fan infront of the chipset,stuck it on the Chassis with doubleside adhesive tape.dropped temps like anything.Although i did this for my DFI.Should work the same way for your board too.
 
That i am already doing... But i want a good looking solution... Also SLB side panel window also has to taken into consideration...
 
Welll i got that POS for a lot lower price here locally from CM Distris and the funny thing is that it does not have an mounting machenisnm :\
 
I need something quick and i need it .... lets say dont wanna spend anything on it :P... I am onto something... If it goes through fine... We just might have the best Chipset cooler around :P...
 
Yeah simplest thing to do.Take it to local Rashi office or Asus service centre,they will replace it cos Asus has acknowledged the Fan problem and gives the new replacement without much pains.
