Graphic Cards Suitable Graphic card under 8k

can anyone suggest a decent perofromace graphic card for a budget of 8k.

I can give or take Rs500 to 1k if it makes a great difference in the performance ....

and also if you can suggest what would be the best MoBO combination with that....it wud be helpful

I suggest try to get hold of a ATI HD 4830 512MB DDR3 for ~8.5k.

Any motherboard with a PCI Express x16 slot will do fine, you need to mention your platform / budget before receiving a recommendation for a motherboard.
 
Or try to get an hd4850 card for 9-9.5k..Its worth it man..And as for the mobo you can go for a p45 based one if your budget's around 6k..
 
There's a 2nd hand 4850 retailing for 8.5k. Not sure if its sold already.

Else a brand new 4830. :)
 
Well i would suggest you to contact KMD as i bought my Sapphire HD4850 for 9.5k including shipping 2-3 months back so it would be better before buying atleast ask him if he can get you very same card.:)
 
whao...thx all forthose suggestions....ny reason why there is no one that swears by Nvidia chipsets???

Any killer deals with even lesser budget are welcome.....i can always adjust with RAm and the LCD.
 
Simple reason for not recommending NVIDIA - It has no good (even remotely so) models in that price range.

+1 for both the 4830 or the 4850. Both are extremely good cards. Look around and get whichever fits your budget best.

Btw, do make sure you don't have a CPU bottleneck. It'd be a shame to buy a nice graphics card and not have it work to its full potential. Any post-E6300 dual core should work fine.
 
yes it makes sense.....but I know I may be taking it too far...but if a pump in 2k more...wud any one suggest a Nvidia card....somehow i have been a Nvidia loyalists ....offlate i havent been taking keen interests in the latest devlopment in the graphic chip market....else I would have spared this botheration for the forum members.....or even after my emotioninclination opting for ati would make sense....
