Surge protection - Belkin is still the best option?

Using Belkin surge protectors (that extension) for the last 10 or 15yrs. Works great and saved equipment from lightning/surge more than once.

Checking whether that is the only brand trustworthy or there are others which we can rely on.

Basically for computers, monitor, modem, mobile phones, dry box etc.

I am using GoldMedal extensions 3 of them actually in my house & at my parents house since last 10 years and its great. BTW I am using this: Goldmedal Essenza Plugged-in 4x1 Power Strip

Don't think this offer any surge protection.
Then I think going with Belkin 6-socket is the way to go. There is not much price difference between 4-socket Vs. 6-socket just Rs.9 only. Link: Belkin 6-Socket Surge Protector Universal Socket with 6.5Ft (2-Meter) Heavy Duty Cable Overload Protection, Extension Cord Comes with 5 Years Manufacturer Warranty, Grey Color, 220 Volts @ Rs.1308

BTW I should have this as I was thinking they are the same. Thanks for telling.

anybody knows extension with 2 buttons ? so to control sockets seperately?
I used to use a frontech spike buster long back in 2008. In 2012 when I bought a new PC I got this Goldmedal Powerstrip. I never thought of using surge protector since I use APC 1100VA UPS connected to powerstrip. Is there a need for surge protector for UPS, Router, Epson Printer, Laptop instead of the powerstrip?
