Swift, Baleno, fronx, dzire... But I am leaning towards brezza now... What do you guys feel.. Will there be a new update in August 25.???

If you liked brezza, then you will love the base variant of Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder or Suzuki Grand Vitara, they are a segment above, also they are bigger, have better stance, more features. Expensive yes, but will hold their value. You are settled on brezza, so the next best thing are these two, try them once.

Personally toyota urban cruiser looks super fine to me.

I find suzuki products reliable..
Hyrider aka the grand Vitara has the same engine but brezza is compact and talker which I like..
Grand Vitara is around 2 to 3 lac costlier which I am not willing to spend..

Would like others to chip in with their suggestions about brezza..

I liked the first gen Brezza, the current one lacks the slightly premium look that the first gen had.
There's a Brezza facelift expected in the next couple of months so it's better to wait imo but you could also end up getting some good discounts on the current one while stocks get cleared.

Well the lxi variant fitted with urbano accessory kit costs around 10.2L
The buzz is that maruti most likely will remove the 1.5L NA engine from brezza and to cut taxes would introduce a 1.2L turbo charged engine to take advantage of a policy loophole (govt forgot to mention taxes turbo charged engones)

There might be some changes in front grill and back and stuff..

Obviously there will be more power and torque from the turbo charged engine but I feel ride quality would definitely go down in the 1.3l Tc engine... I may be wrong..

Now this August facelift has put me in a fix.. Wondering what to do

One more thing to consider is that govt. is planning to increase ethanol blending to 30% by 2030, it'll be better to stick to newer engines that may or may not cause problems in the long run.

I've had the Baleno (Alpha MT) for over a year now and the ownership experience has been smooth sailing thus far. I didn't consider the Fronx, because spec per spec the Baleno is better value for money with the only key differentiator being the slightly better ground clearance and exterior appearance in favour of the Fronx.

The Baleno delivers decent fuel efficiency, is comfortable, can seat large people with relative comfort and is safer than the older gen 'tin can' (not my words) for sure considering the added weight and safety features. From the driver's POV, the sedan like low slung seating position is super comfortable for long distance hauls. Coming from an OG maruti model, the clutch pedal on this car feels like pressing a pillow; It's super effortless & I've never felt I've missed out by not opting for the AMT. The steering is decently weighted, striking a right balance between ease of use and purposefulness. There is no steering deadzone in the centre as is the case with other Maruti hatches I've driven.

It's not completely without faults tho; A pillar and Rear visibility is somewhat mediocre, but that is also applicable to most modern cars. With the 360 camera I feel the latter is not an issue. But in case one opts for a lower trim, it's something to be wary about. Interior space could be a bit wider too, often times I'm rubbing arms with my passenger when I'm resting mine on the armrest. I've also felt at times that the engine could do with more torque, and offering a Boosterjet option could sway some potential Fronx buyers towards the Baleno.

It would still be better to buy "Flex Fuel" capable machines, as they can take any blend of ethanol (upto 80% or so) and still work without damaging their internals. So far, I think, only one bike in India has that: Honda CB300F?

If you want a peppier engine, go for the 4-cylinder engine [Baleno]. If safety is your top priority, check out the Dzire VXI, it is a 5-star rated car with almost all the essential features needed, as well as a bigger boot.

Now they're saying there are no such plans.

Brezza was almost final had even asked the showroom to start formalities and I was to go to them with advance so that they could arra ge the color... but when you said there could be new version out in August it derailed everything

Some say it's just e Vitara that might be launched but no brezza, some are saying they could change the engine to 1.2L turbo charged with new elements inside and outside..

I think and I may be wrong, that the usp of the brezza has been it's most reliable 1.5L k15c engine, they might face lift it and add newer features and may add turbo charged engine at a premium like that failed fronx variant which doesn't sell lol..
Help me decide guys..
