I have two secondary hard disks used only for dumping data.I have them connected internally now but there seems no point having them powered up all day along with my pc.Is there any way to power them on/off other than how I normally do:
Shut down>>Remove/Plug in Sata cable>>Power on
I want to power them on off/on with some sort of switch or maybe a software solution.
I do have an external hard disk casing but I don't want to use it because usb kinda sucks in terms of the transfer speeds I'm getting internall[50-70 MBps] :-)
How should I go about this?

You can get those sunbeam HD docks which have esata connectors rather than using those external hard disk casing.

You can use hotswap! software if you want to

HotSwap!

But I havent used it on my vista system. If it works, well and good. Maybe other members who have used them could talk about it more. Hope this helps, just my 2 cents.
